Thanks to the effort of Thomas Edison, we no longer need to invent the light bulb. We just go to the store or our cupboard and pull one out and screw it in. Voila! Light!
I am sure you realize that it took Thomas Edison many tries before he perfected the light bulb. Someone asked him one day if he grew discouraged by his failures. He answered, “I haven’t failed, I’ve discovered one more way how not to make a light bulb.”

You see, there is no such thing as failure, as there are only results. Someone once said that the definition of insanity is to do something over and over again and get the same results. For our life to work properly, we need to make some changes to the things we do. Just like light can burn out, so can we. Life can become dark and depressing, and we feel there is no light, no hope in sight. It’s a fairly dismal picture for sure.

Let me shine some light on this situation (pun intended). When we are feeling so low and deep in the pits, this is when we need light to see our way through. Some of us are lucky enough to have some light on hand. Others must go out and retrieve it.

People try and invent light for themselves by thinking positive thoughts, but it only takes them so far. It only gives so much light. There is more light available, but people are at a quandary as to how to obtain it.
We don’t have to be like Thomas Edison and keep looking at the problem and thinking of ways to solve them.

For every problem, there is a solution.
How do we find the solution? We can try. As we said, to try and figure it out by ourselves, or we can find someone who has already surpassed this obstacle and do what they did.

There are many books on the market today that can help us understand how to overcome the obstacles in our lives. We need to read and learn from the failures of other people. They have been through it all before and can help to teach us how to go through it now. There have been great thinkers in our history, and we are fortunate enough to have their trail to follow. We all need more light in our life. Sometimes we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, but there is always hope and help.

Learn how others have overcome their challenges and keep that education inside of you so that when you are feeling low, and life looks dim, you can pull out those resources to help you light up your life again.
Don’t try to re-invent the light bulb. Learn how to carry the light within yourself.

Traps To Avoid When Developing Your Business Ideas https://inventionspark.com/traps-to-avoid-when-developing-your-business-ideas/ https://inventionspark.com/traps-to-avoid-when-developing-your-business-ideas/#respond Tue, 30 Nov 2021 09:12:35 +0000 https://inventionspark.com/traps-to-avoid-when-developing-your-business-ideas/ Most home businesses fail because the ideas behind them weren’t commercially viable. The home business ideas that you choose to develop are critical in determining whether you will be successful.

To help you develop home business ideas that will propel you to success, we’ve put together the traps to avoid when developing your home business ideas.

1. Failing to Understand Your Market

Although you are most likely to be successful if you do something you enjoy, home business ideas based on your hobbies or interests aren’t enough on their own to guarantee success.

When you’re developing your home business ideas, you need to evaluate the market potential. In other words, examine how many people would be interested in buying into your home business ideas, what your competition would be, and how much you’d need to spend to turn your home business ideas into a viable commercial proposition. You should also think carefully about how unique your home business ideas are and what you could do to make them stand out from the competition.

In other words, failure to gain a clear understanding of the market potential for your business ideas is the first trap you need to avoid when developing your home business ideas.

2. Developing Home Business Ideas Without Adequate Planning

It’s great if you’re enthusiastic about your home business ideas. However, don’t allow this enthusiasm to cause you to plunge into developing your home business ideas without adequate planning.

You must plan every step you take to ensure that you turn your home business ideas into a reality is well thought through. Many people who try and start home businesses ignore the planning process. A carefully considered business plan is essential for your success as it will ensure that your home business ideas are developed logically.

3. Being Afraid To Ask For Help

Many people are afraid to ask for advice when honing their home business ideas because they are scared that someone will steal them.

This can be a mistake. By speaking to other entrepreneurs who have developed home business ideas of their own, you can learn from their mistakes and their positive experiences. Of course, you shouldn’t speak to someone who has a home business in the area you’re interested in.

The other way to get useful information to help you develop your home business ideas is by working as an employee or intern in a similar business.

4. Not Having Adequate Funds To Develop Your Home Business Ideas

The sad truth is that even if you have a great home business idea if you can’t afford to develop it properly, you’ll never be a success.

New Invention Ideas https://inventionspark.com/new-invention-ideas/ https://inventionspark.com/new-invention-ideas/#respond Tue, 30 Nov 2021 08:04:54 +0000 https://inventionspark.com/new-invention-ideas/ New invention ideas. Read about them, laugh at them if you must, modify them, use them and call them your own if you want.

Air conditioning shirt. Backpacking in hot weather, I often stop to wet my shirt in a stream. The evaporative cooling as it dries is wonderful. Now, if a shirt had little water “tanks” on the shoulders, a shirt could be kept wet and keep cooling for hours, perhaps. They would have to be lightweight, and they would have to release the water slowly. Even better would be tanks with an adjustable rate of flow, so you could have the shirt wetted at the same rate it was drying.

Motorskimobile. A motorcycle for snow. It would run on a track like a snowmobile, but it would be a different kind of ride. The user would be sitting higher, just like on a motorcycle, and can maneuver tighter turns. It could also go down narrow trails more easily.

Wave power generators. As kids, we roped, chained, and tried everything we could think of to keep our raft anchored. When the waves came, though, even the chains broke. Why not use this lifting power of the waves to run a generator? The whole unit would be anchored to the bottom of the lake or ocean. Afloat, would move up and down with the waves, lifting and dropping a plunger that turns a generator with each movement. Additional units could be easily added to a collection, and the resulting electricity wired to shore.

Caskets for possessions. A novelty invention, the idea here is to have something to bury your favorite possessions in when they are broken or otherwise “dead.”

A wall that changes colors. You have probably seen those billboards that use three-sided rotating panels to instantly change the picture on the sign. There are three possible views, of course. The new idea here is to apply this invention to walls for homes. When you get bored with the color of the wall, you push a button, and it changes to another color, or a mural, or whichever of the three choices.

Paintings that change. The same concept as the above invention. It’s just scaled down to a frame that can display any of three prints with the push of a button.

Disposable picnic backpacks. They are plastic, strong enough for a few days’ use, and come with the snacks and bottle water already in them. Buy one for each of the kids before you hit the hiking trail.

Chip dip tubes. No more messy bowls of stale, drying chip dip with broken chips in it. Instead, you apply the dip from a toothpaste-like tube directly onto the chip. You get the right amount with less mess. They could be sold in six packs, so everyone can have their tube. What else can be put in tubes? What size should the tubes be? Here’s a concept ripe for some new invention ideas.

Easy Invention Ideas https://inventionspark.com/easy-invention-ideas/ https://inventionspark.com/easy-invention-ideas/#respond Tue, 30 Nov 2021 08:04:44 +0000 https://inventionspark.com/easy-invention-ideas/ Easy invention ideas? Why easy? Sometimes it’s just too intimidating to think about building a new car, television, or other complicated invention. So these are ideas for garage or basement tinkerers. Coming up with a prototype for most of these will cost no more than the money in your pocket. They are not patented yet, as far as I know.

Wild Game Carrier

Deer hunters regularly die of heart attacks while carrying their bucks out of the woods. The invention here would solve that problem. It would have an inflatable wheel using coated nylon that won’t puncture easily. Once you get your deer, blow up the wheel, and using the clamps on either side, you attach two poles or sticks that you cut on site. Attach the simple nylon sling between the sticks, and you have a wheelbarrow-like device that will carry a deer over even rough trails. Probably weighing no more than two pounds, it could be carried easily in a day pack.

Helium Kites

Perhaps it’s been done, but I haven’t seen them sold yet. With some lift from the helium, these kites could be flown in any amount of wind. Properly designed, they would still fly something like a kite, and with some maneuverability, is designed like a stunt kite. A prototype could be a kite with a small helium balloon attached. That’s an easy invention.

Ad Kites

This is more of a marketing idea than an invention. Have advertisements on kites and get paid to fly them at the beach or during big outdoor events. In my former small-town home, they paid for planes to drag ads around during festivals, so the market might be there.

Disposable Clothing

If dollar stores can keep putting t-shirts on the shelves, we know they are getting cheap to make. So how about a line of shirts that are low-quality, but good enough to use, and cost very little to manufacture? You sell them in boxes of 12 as “disposable clothing.” Where’s the market? Maybe people who want less laundry to do on long trips. I set aside old clothes for just that purpose, which is where the idea came from. Also, some people might want to have some cheap things to wear for doing dirty jobs.

Kayak Shoes

Imagine this: You are wearing two little “kayaks” on your feet. Two smaller ones at the end of two ski poles help you balance as you walk across the nearest lake. At 8 feet long and 8 inches around, they would hold about 170 pounds each, by the way. To try this one, remember that to figure the volume of a cylindrical object, you multiply pi (3.14) times the radius squared times the length. Oh, and each cubic foot of air will support about 64 pounds.

Wind Tents

An easy invention idea from childhood. My brothers and I spent summers at the beach on Lake Michigan. Many nights, the wind blew steady off the water, and we discovered that we could make a “wind tent” out of an old blanket. With three sides pinned down, using rocks and sand, the wind held the “tent” open. We camped out in these tents, although when the wind died, the tent did. Maybe someone could make and market a plastic version. A colorful square of plastic – this is one of the easiest of the easy invention ideas.

Invention Ideas from Trade Show Exhibition Booths https://inventionspark.com/invention-ideas-from-trade-show-exhibition-booths/ https://inventionspark.com/invention-ideas-from-trade-show-exhibition-booths/#respond Tue, 30 Nov 2021 08:04:26 +0000 https://inventionspark.com/invention-ideas-from-trade-show-exhibition-booths/ Have you been dreaming of becoming the next Thomas Edison, credited for the first industrial research laboratory? Have you been experimenting with chemicals just like Nobel Prize awardee Marie Curie had been doing? Have you been putting stuff together akin to the Wright Brothers responsible for the airplanes? All these and more names that, at this very period, are still instrumental in contemporary living.

It is the new millennium, and the mentioned individuals have already rested in peace. You might even say that your desires and aspirations will just remain like that. Stop mourning over what you cannot do because the more pessimistic you become, the more hopeless the case will be. To lift that spirit, you can gain several invention ideas from trade show exhibition booths. Even with all the innovative technologies that are already out in the market. You can always do something new.

At INPEX, America’s biggest display of novel creations, you can gain a lot of invention ideas from trade show exhibition booths. A unique kind, companies can immediately avail of the license of a product that they are interested to purchase. On its 23rd year of 2006, coordinators of the event will be welcoming Robert Bosch Tool Corporation and Everlast Worldwide Incorporated. The two were able to join the previous year.
As mentioned, invention ideas from trade show exhibition booths can be obtained from INPEX. Robert Bosch Tool Corporation is a manufacturer of brands such as Bosch, Dremel, Skil, and RotoZip. It generates power accessories where you will be able to witness the latest machinery devices. Everlast Worldwide Incorporated is a dealer of sports apparel. At the event, you will not just have a glimpse of their hottest fitness merchandise.

INPEX is not only a venue where invention ideas from trade show exhibition booths can be taken. It is also a forum where it allows attendees to personally interact with the brainchildren themselves. It would be wise that you get ready with your pen and paper so you can take note of their contacts. Get in touch with them, and who knows, it might just be the first step for your imaginations to get fulfilled.

The next event will be held in Pittsburgh Expo Mart at Monroeville, Pennsylvania, on June 6- 9, 2007. For further information, call their telephone number at 412-288-1343 or send a fax at 412-288-4546.
